5,742 players joined Beth Shak on the virtual felt Sunday August 17, 2008 at 2.00 pm ET for the $120 + 9 pm NLHE knockout tournament. The 23rd event of the FTOPS IX had a total prize pool of $574,200, paying out 558 places. Erick “E-Dog” Lindgren was the only Full Tilt Poker pro to make bank in the tournament. He finished in 22nd place and earned more than $1600 for his efforts.

Teledonk came in 400th place; castellimich earned $947.43 for the 57th slot while MrHolywood claimed more than $1k for 52nd place. The big money was obviously reserved for the top nine players. The top finisher was the only one guaranteed a six-figure payday. As the final two fought it out for the title, Kroko-dill and Hyperspiral knew that more than $50,000 separated them.

In the end, there could be only one winner and it was Kroko-dill.

Here are the final results:

1) Kroko-dill - $113,691.60 2) Hyperspiral - $69,765.30 3) Scarypooper5 - $50,506.63 4) BeatProphet - $35,600.40 5) soggy dogg - $25,839 6) kennl - $17,226 7) PapaWood619 - $11,484 8) c4s1n0 - $8,038.80 9) vcehorosho - $5,742.00
