7,786 players came to win at the Poker Stars Sunday Million on February 10, 2008. This drove up the prize pool to an impressive $1,557,200, making the Sunday Million second only to the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) VII $322 NLHE Tournament. That event, which was won by the host, Erick “EDOG” Lindgren, had a prize pool of nearly 1.7 million.

tomgus456, who previously won a Bodog Sunday Million in January 2008, claimed the top spot in this event. After agreeing to a by-the-chips chop which would've guaranteed him the most money even if he finished in second place, the Finnish player took the title and more than $189,000 for his efforts.

Here are the results:

1) tomgus456 - $189,487.25 2) haxxories - $115,654.19 3) 4JesseJames4 - $102,844.96 4) mbouh - $62,288.00 5) SitAndStack - $46,716.00 6) Wibez - $34,258.40 7) UNLEASHED66 - $24,136.60 8) david_a - $14,014.80 9) scoots_mc - $9,187.48
